Why Bose product activation failed? ›

Be sure the Bose app is up-to-date.

If the Bose app is not the latest version, it might be missing features or improvements. On your device, go to the app store, search for the app and select it. If an update is available, install it.

The Bluetooth device might not connect to your Bose product if it is already connected to another product. Go to the Bluetooth settings on the device, disconnect any connected products, then try connecting your Bose product. Reboot the Bluetooth® device.

To soft reset your soundbar, shut it down, unplug it, and wait 30 seconds before powering it back on. For a hard reset, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds. A reset can address many problems, like if the soundbar won't connect to the TV or a Bluetooth device.

Simultaneously press and hold the AUX and Volume – buttons for 15 seconds until a tone is heard.
