The Brilliance of Imperfections: An Auction from the Heart brought together notable personalities to auction unique jewellery pieces, with all nett proceeds benefiting the Singapore Children’s Society
The Brilliance of Imperfections: An Auction from the Heart charity gala dinner, held on November 22 at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, was a night that celebrated both exquisite craftsmanship and a noble cause. Organised by local jeweller Twomorrow, the event featured an auction of unique jewellery pieces designed by six notable personalities—Tjin Lee, Ho Ching Lin, Pat Law, Wang Wan Ting, Melissa Koh, and James Chen—in collaboration with Twomorrow’s founder and designer, Evelyn Chung. The net proceeds from the evening went towards the Singapore Children’s Society, in its mission to support and empower children, youth and families in need.
The evening kicked off with an A capella performance by local band The Apex Project, before Chung took to the stage to welcome guests with a heartfelt speech. In emphasising the dinner’s theme and the significance of embracing imperfections, the founder shared her personal journey as a mother and how it inspired her mission with Twomorrow: “Beauty isn’t about perfection. It’s about the stories we carry, the love we share and the journey that shapes us.”

Chung also recounted a touching moment with her daughter Ellie that profoundly impacted her perspective on beauty. “After my first pregnancy, I struggled with the changes in my body and would often stand in front of the mirror, being unkind to myself and criticising myself in front of the mirror. One day, Ellie walked up to me, kissed my tummy and told me, ‘You’re beautiful and I love you, mummy’. That simple moment stopped me in my tracks.”
Such innocent affirmation served as a powerful reminder of how children perceive beauty without societal filters. She noted, “Children have the amazing ability to see and love things as they are. But as they grow, societal pressures often teach them otherwise. It was with this realisation, inspired by Ellie, that drove me to partner with Singapore Children’s Society.”
She added: “Their work aligns so closely with Tomorrow’s values, particularly their programmes like the Tinker Friends Helpline, which supports children aged 7 to 12. Ellie herself is in that age group and it feels so meaningful to know that tonight's effort will help nurture young children, encourage them to embrace their uniqueness and develop a foundation of self-love that will carry them through life.”

The auction featureda total of 22 unique jewellery piecesthat not only dazzled but also held compelling stories and meaning. The collaboration between Twomorrow and the six personalities resulted in a collection that celebrated diversity and individuality through beautiful jewellery.
During the dinner, guests were encouraged to explore these narratives and start bidding through a digital platform. As the evening progressed, so did spirited bidding wars for the jewellery pieces and other items both in the digital and live auction.
Attendees were also invited to leave messages for the children, sharing encouraging words that certainly mean a lot to those benefiting from the evening’s efforts. Before the night ended, Chung expressed her gratitude to the guests: “Your presence here tonight is a testament to the power of kindness, compassion and collective action. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in the mission, for supporting Singapore Children’s Society and for celebrating the brilliance of imperfection with us.”
