Microsoft outage sparks meme mania; check out the top 20 here (2024)

A major Microsoft outage has left millions unplugged and scrambling, and it’s already being labelled one of the “biggest IT blunders ever”. Naturally, social media has done what it does best: flood the internet with memes.

The caption read, “When your work laptop is absolutely fine throughout a global Microsoft outage.”

@guyweirdness shared a screengrab of Toby McGuire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland hugging each other as Spiderman from Spiderman: No Way Home with the caption, “Corporate employees thanking that one person because of whom Microsoft is down.”

This one shows people in blue uniforms happily hugging each other in a room, celebrating the outage because they got a break from work on a Friday. It’s the kind of joy that only a sudden tech hiccup can bring!

“Microsoft services are down too on a Friday. Corporate employees everywhere,” read the caption.
